The detection and discrimination of chiral analytes has always been a topical theme in food pharmaceutical industries environmental monitoring, especially when dealing with drugs pesticides, whose enantiomeric nature assessment is crucial importance. typical approach matches novel receptors designed ad hoc for the target enantiomer emerging nanotechnologies. massive synthetic efforts requested difficulty analyzing complex matrices warrant ever-growing exploitation sensor array as an alternative route, using limited number or both achiral sensors stereoselective identification dosing compounds. This review aims to illustrate little-explored winning strategy sensing based on arrays. mimics functioning natural olfactory systems that perceive some couples compounds distinctive odors (i.e., considerable broad selective receptors). Thus, fundamental concepts related working principle arrays role data analysis techniques models have briefly presented. After discussion existing examples literature discriminating enantiomers and, cases, determining excess, remaining challenges future directions are outlined researchers interested applications.
